Mark Starratt

President & CEO


Mark brings 20+ years of experience in the financial services industry and currently serves on the Paralympic Foundation of Canada. Previously, Mark served on the Board of Governors for the University of Calgary. He is a decorated strategic leader and visionary with a strong reputation for growing stakeholder objectives with openness and transparency. 

Mark is a highly-respected visionary and decorated strategic leader with exemplary communication skills. He has a strong reputation for delivering excellence in a variety of areas such as corporate development, investment management, not-for-profit, educational, and philanthropic organizations. He is an exceptional strategist with a unique ability to grow partnerships and advance stakeholders’ objectives with openness to diversity, transition, and change. 

Mark and his wife Jennifer founded the Starratt Family Foundation in 2012 to advance education and research in the area of neuromuscular disease. In a few short years, the foundation has raised money to support research at the University of Calgary and is striving to positively impact the thousands of Canadians who suffer from neuromuscular diseases. 

Mark holds the Certified Investment Manager (CIM), Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D), Family Enterprise Advisory (FEA), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMM). 

The advisory board provides strategic advice to the organization to ensure that global humanus' service offerings and expertise adapts to the continually changing philanthropic landscape.

Guy Mallabone


Guy Mallabone is recognized internationally as one of the nonprofit sector’s most thoughtful and inspiring leaders. Since 1980 he has been providing exceptional advice and service to clients in the non-profit sector, including universities, social service agencies, health care providers, and others.

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Guy leads Global Philanthropic Inc. as President and CEO, conducting fund development training and consulting in more than a dozen countries. As a practitioner, author, teacher and presenter, Guy works with all types and sizes of goals and challenges.

Gordon Anderson

B. Admin., TEP, FEA, CFA

Gord brings 30+ years of experience in the financial services industry both domestic and internationally working with high net worth families in the areas of trust, investment management, structuring, and international planning. Gord is currently involved in philanthropic planning as well as consulting on indigenous issues, and assists with a number of start-ups primarily in the area of governance.

Keith H. Sjögren

Keith is the Managing Director, Consulting at Strategic Insight (formerly Investor Economics), a prominent provider of research and advisory services to the financial services industry in Canada. In this role, Keith is responsible for identifying and leading consulting engagements with a wide range of financial institutions. 

Ward Mallabone

Ward is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Priviti Capital Corporation. Ward holds a law degree from the University of Calgary, and was formerly one of the principles behind EnerVest Management Ltd. where he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Law prior to its sale in 2005. EnerVest managed one of the largest closed-end funds in Canada.
